With comfortable on road driving and excellent off road abilities it was put in line with the Range Rover, however cost a fraction of the price. Released with a 3.0Lt, 4.2Lt 6 cylinder petrol and a 4.2Lt diesel engine, with the option of wagon and ute. During 1992, a facelift to the grilles, lights and guards, also with updates to the suspension and in October 1997 the GQ was replaced by the new model.
