If you’re looking to upgrade your Ford Ranger PX MK2 MK3 (2015–2022) with a set of LED headlights, this guide will walk you through the installation process step by step. If you're comfortable working on your vehicle, this is a straightforward upgrade you can tackle yourself. Let’s get to it!
Step 1: Remove the Top Panel
☑️ Start by popping out the push pins on the top panel above the grille.
☑️ Once they’re all out, unclip the panel and set it aside.
Step 2: Take Off the Grille
☑️ Next, remove the two 10mm bolts on top of the grille.
☑️ Do the same for the two more just below. Once all four bolts are out, carefully unclip the grille from the attached panel.
Step 3: Loosen the Bumper
☑️ Remove the four push pins that connect the bumper to the body.
☑️ Locate the 8mm bolt behind the wheel arch liner on both sides and remove them.
☑️ Underneath the bumper, you’ll find four more 10mm bolts. Remove these as well.
☑️ Gently pull the bumper forward just enough to access the electrical connections and fog lights.
Step 4: Remove the Old Headlight
For easier access, you can optionally remove a panel secured by two 10mm bolts and an electrical connector.
To remove the headlight:
☑️ Take out the two 10mm bolts holding the headlight in place.
☑️ Remove the pin on top.
☑️ Unscrew the Torx bolt on the side.
☑️ Loosen the final 10mm bolt just below the headlight.
☑️ Carefully pull out the headlight and disconnect the electrical connectors.
Step 5: Install the New Headlights
☑️ Insert the provided bulb into the new headlight.
☑️ Reconnect all electrical connections.
☑️ Slide the new headlight into place and secure it with the bolts.
☑️ Repeat the process on the other side.
Step 6: Put Everything Back Together
To finish up, just reverse the steps:
☑️ Reattach the bumper and grille.
☑️ Secure all bolts and push pins.
☑️ Double-check that all electrical connections are secure.
Final Check: Test the New Headlights
Once everything is back in place, turn on the lights to make sure they work properly. These headlights are a direct plug-and-play fit, and the sweeping indicator adds a sleek touch to your Ranger. Hope this guide helps!
